Seizing the day, or at least the hour

William and I decided to go on a quick adventure today before he went to school. I've been looking for places that I can take Otis and let him run off his leash since our favorite leashless walking path the canal road is currently being demolished. We decided to try Highland Glen park or the "duck park" as the kiddo's call it. William instructed me to grab some bread but I wasn't really sure if the ducks still hung out there in the winter. Apparently they do and from the attention we got they don't get a lot of visitors bearing bread in the winter.

Here is Otis the ferocious trying to get at the ducks.

They thought he wanted to eat them but we know from experience that he just wanted to lick them as seen in this photo of him licking our bunny.

We moved up to the dock to give the ducks some peace of mind.

Our very appreciative feathered friends.

We're game to check out other adventurous locations so please pass along any suggestions.

That is a great idea Wendy. This time of year can get long when your stuck outside. I'm so sad about the canal road. My kids loved to go see the ducks on it. Bummer. David assures me it's going to be a great walking path when their done though.
