Savvy Me
Well I finally decided to give couponing a try. I have a couple of friends that do it and I went to an Enrichment class on it but I've never been quite convinced that it was for me. Glenn recently discovered the show called "Extreme Couponing" and he's been talking about it a lot lately. I still haven't been convinced until yesterday when I found the Savvy Shopper website. www.savvyshopperdeals.com I was on the Daily Herald's site because I wanted to find out what the newspaper subscription would cost so I could get the coupons, and right there was a tutorial from the Savvy Shopper lady. I knew she was a columnist in the paper but I didn't know how widespread her couponing empire was. I watched about 30 minutes of tutorial videos and was able to get a lot of my questions answered. What I liked the most is how organized this Savvy Shopper method is so I'm going to follow it every step of the way. The weekly e-mails they send out rate the sales at all stores and tell you exactly what coupons to be using to get the best deals. They have something called the shopping wizard that lets you make your shopping list right from their store lists and prints it all out for you. They also send out info about rebates, on-line coupons, unadvertised sales etc. If there is any kind of good deal going on anywhere these guys are on it and passing it along. That is exactly what I need, just someone to tell me what to do. So I've ordered my papers (5 Sunday papers to be exact) and signed up for the email lists. I'm kind of excited, we'll see how it goes from here.

I'm embarrassed to say that we are looking into couponing too. I just don't know how hard or easy it will be to save big bucks.
