More Emily

Here are some more things Emily's been up to. She is so creative and she hates to part with any of her artwork so I have to take pictures before I toss stuff.

This is her president report. She had Franklin Pierce. Not a very interesting president in my opinion but she spiced it up by making the poster board into an American flag.

Here are some from Halloween. When her class was learning the names of bones they made the skeletons. They hung them in the school hallway in all sorts of cute poses. She hasn't been able to part with hers yet so it's still hanging in her bedroom. The other is a Halloween paper snowflake with different pumpkin shapes. They cut these out by perforating the paper with pins.

For Thanksgiving they wrote a book, "My Life as a Turkey" and were instructed to read it to their families on Thanksgiving day. We had quite a crowd gathered and she was a little bit embarrassed but she did great.

This is a self-portrait of Emily looking out a window. They made the portraits and also wrote an essay on what they might see out their window. This picture is one of my favorites. I loved the pony tails, the coloring in her hair and the little paper freckles. So so cute!

This one was not a school thing just a lazy Sunday morning with William. I guess they had been playing a game with the cars and made them into a circle which then gave Emily the idea of making a snowman. They came in and told me they made a snowman out of cars and I was envisioning some kind of stacked tower. This was not what I was expecting. Pretty cool huh?

What a great way to save their artwork. To bad we don't have room for everything.
