This is the second birthday boy in our summer birthday boy series. Dylan turned 17 on July 29. He spent his special day in a small town somewhere in Idaho. He was invited to join a friend and his family on their vacation so he drove himself up and then back a few days later. It was a big step for him (and for his parents) but he made it and got some good driving experience under his belt. Whew! His friend's family gave him the royal treatment with lots of golf and a ritzy birthday dinner so he had a great time. We were very grateful for their kindness and hospitality.
We had a belated celebration on his return. We had already financed his trip but I got him a few things so he would have something to open. I was out of boxes so I threw it all in one box and he was hamming it up by pulling everything out one at a time and posing.

I gave him his own hair stuff because every morning he comes to my bathroom to use my hair gel, hair dryer and hair spray. I'm glad he thought it was funny and I'm glad that I won't have him banging around in my bathroom in the mornings.
