She's Home!

Yes it's Thanksgiving but this post is not about food. Instead I get the pleasure of reporting that our neice/cousin Sister Mary Shepherd returned from serving in the Geneva Switzerland mission today. This could not have been a better Thanksgiving for our family. I wanted to get these pictures up so everyone could get a feel for this homecoming.

The family reunited. L to R- My nephew Joey Shepherd with his wife Kim in front, (expecting baby Alivia any day), my sister Debbie Shepherd, Mary, and brother-in-law Lynn Shepherd.

The anxious mother.

There she is!

Well done Mary. We love you and are so proud of you. Thank you!

Looks like a great family reunion. Wanted to recommend a book for Kim, but admittedly, it's a little late. :) The Miracle of Me by Amy Pedersen is about life in the womb from the unborn baby's perspective. It's a light book. A kid's book really. God is sited as the ultimate miracle maker. Uses in-utero photography and rulers/scales so you can the baby’s progress. I got it to read to my daughter but have a soft spot in my heart for it myself. I love how it reinforces that each of us what chosen/crafted by God. I recommend it to all pregnant moms.
